ACKU is pleased to introduce its future home at Kabul University. The ACKU building design strives to embody the approach of the Centre as a place of learning, enquiry and interaction. Through creative and efficient use of space and appropriate technology, drawing on the rich architectural tradition of Afghanistan and the quality and durability of its materials, we aim to construct a modest but exemplary building whose design rises above the vagaries of architectural fashion. By providing practical and inspiring spaces for staff and visitors, the new ACKU building will in itself invite curiosity and attention . Through the generous support of the Embassy of the United Kingdom, a brochure has been developed to generate funds to help realize this next stage of development for the Afghanistan Centre at Kabul University.
